Sat Course

The full form of SAT is the Scholastic Assessment Test, which was earlier known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test. SAT is a standardized test administered by the College Board and is required to be taken by students seeking admission to high-ranking colleges or universities in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Turkey, and other countries. Section 1: Reading Test

The purpose of this section is to measure your ability to read and interpret a variety of texts like the reading you will find in college and your career. Each reading test consists of five passages with 10 to 11 questions each, for a total of 52 questions. One of the five sets of questions will be about two “paired” shorter passages.

Topics on the reading test:

• Literary, which includes works of fiction from the United States and around the world
• Informational, which includes science, social science, founding documents, and the great global conversations they inspire

The questions on the Reading test fall into three main categories:

• Information and Ideas: Questions that focus on what the passage says, directly or indirectly
• Rhetoric: Questions that ask about how the author conveys meaning
• Synthesis: Questions that ask you to draw conclusions and make connections between two related passages or between passages and informational graphics

Section 2: Writing & Language

In this section, the SAT wants you to read, find mistakes or weaknesses, and fix them. These mistakes and weaknesses can be about punctuation, grammar, sentence, and paragraph structure, choosing the right word, and understanding the Data. Questions on the Writing and Language Test measure command of evidence, words in context, analysis in history/social studies and Science, expression of Ideas, and standard English conventions skills.

Section 3 & 4: Math

We can categorize the SAT Math questions into four areas of math: Heart of Algebra (36%), Problem Solving and Data Analysis (26%), Passport to Advanced Math (27%), and additional topics in Math (10%). Forty-five questions on the Math Test are multiple-choice, thirteen questions are student-produced response, also known as grid-ins. Instead of choosing a correct answer from a list of options, you will need to solve problems and enter your answers in the grids provided on the answer sheet.
